FR is the new black., posted Apr 6, 2014 at 14:23

I have set up a new node: fr.suchcoins.com:3333/3334 as you may already realise, it is located in France. It will replace the ca and de nodes. Since the hashrate is going down and the pool becomes smaller and smaller, I have to get rid of the large infrastructure and replace it with a smaller one for cost reasons. FR-Node will be the only node in the future.

From now on all nodes point to the new FR node. I will monitor it and if something wents wrong, i will point the nodes back to DE and CA. On each node is everthing the same so that you dont have to change any settings. But if you got some time, it would be nice to change your config to point your miners directly to fr.suchcoins.com instead of using. de, ca or even us/us2.

If everything works well, DE and CA will move to stratum heaven where they gonna meet us and us2. Hopefully they have a good time over there.

I really do this with some tears in my eyes since the pool was very successfull in the past and than got hit by multiple negative events like the halving, the fork, multiple ddos and stuff like this - mostly things, i can't control. That made the pool shrinking from 6GH/s to only 0.5GH/s. In the last 2 months i took very hard loses with the hope, the pool may recover its strength or at least the coin may go up in value. But to bad, nothing of that happened and so i have to take this step to reduce the infrastructure more and more. I really hope, we dont get any performance issues when the pool is finally profitable again - even if it wont be a big profit ... but at least it needs to hold itself.

Greetings and thanks to all loyal miners!

new account options, posted Mar 4, 2014 at 21:02

We built in some new account options to suchcoins.com.

You are now able to delete your account and everything which is related to it. So be sure, you paid out - otherwhise you will lose your funds.

Another "feature" is the "Yes, i want the newsletter"-thingie. We try to send out some newsletters when there are some urgend news to suchcoins, doge or the whole crypto scene. We won't spam you with any shit or something like this.

MIN AP-Limit is lowered to 3000, posted Feb 23, 2014 at 12:19

Now that everyone with 4,000 coins or more has been auto paid, we have enabled auto payments for everyone that has at least 3000 coins. Manual payments are also enabled. All payments are processed very slow and only a few per payout run, so please be patient.

Cautiously attempting auto payouts again also US nodes now completely off. Please use CA or DE nodes only., posted Feb 22, 2014 at 13:12

We are going to raise the auto payout limit to Ð5000 and see how things go. The payments will be processed slowly, so we ask for your patience. If your auto payout is set to less than Ð5000 then you will also have to wait until your balance hits this for auto payout to kick in.

US nodes are now switched off. Although the stratum addresses now point towards CA, please stop using them and connect directly to CA or DE as this may change at any time.

suchcoins goes canada, posted Feb 19, 2014 at 20:14

were introducing our new node at ca.suchcoins.com!

it is replacing both nodes us and us2 so, you mustnt connect to them anymore. at the moment us and us2 are getting redirected to ca. so you are not in a hurry to change your settings but would be nice if you so at any time.

This node is DDOS-protected and have some more power than us/us2 had. So probably this node can do a lot of more shit than the us nodes was able to.

Were looking forward to a new less interrupted era =)

DDOS is over..., posted Feb 19, 2014 at 09:56

...at least for the moment.

DE Node and front end is getting routed as it was before so you should be able to reach them directly as you did before the ddos without the rerouting. That means like, you dont have to change any but its working better again.

We still cant payout due to the forking issue.

BTW: we got our own subreddit: http://www.reddit.com/r/suchcoins/

we are under ddos, posted Feb 18, 2014 at 18:43

We were trying to setup new ddos protected servers. Also on that we got a problem cause of payment via paypal was not working properly and is very delayed. So we will have to wait until tomorrow for the new server.

US and US2 try to capture the DE-node traffic but gonna day several times on that. Also US and US2 wasnt performing very well all the day.

So at the moment we all have to be patient for new node CA which may take all traffic then.

Were also still waiting for a solution to re-enable payouts. Seems like the doge-devs are not able to solve this problem and so some pool operators try to fix it on their own. We only can wait right now and join the discussion of all pool operators. Please stop begging for special payouts and stuff ... it is just not possible right now. Some pools claim to payout or even do so, but the point is, its not save. At least the pool itself may lose coins and probably you will lose them too. Thats why we dont payout until there is a solution.

Hopefully we can make it any how and hopefully the pool is not allready dead. We work hard on bringing the pool back online but we also need you for that.

BTW: we got our own subreddit: http://www.reddit.com/r/suchcoins/

Doge got forked again, posted Feb 18, 2014 at 01:40

IMPORTANT: There was a fork on the DOGE Network! After consensus from all pools we are now running against a particular chain that we chose. Payouts will be stopped until the devs release more info about the fork!

As you may know, there is a problem with wallet v1.5 which prevents it from running on servers as a payout wallet. Wallet v1.4 was used to payout by most pools but this is not able to handle very big blocks which just lead to a fork.

Thats why mining gonna work after choosing a specific chain and its why we need to stop payouts until we got at least one working wallet.

So you may have to be patient right now.

BTW: we got our own subreddit: http://www.reddit.com/r/suchcoins/

There was a fork in the block chain. , posted Feb 17, 2014 at 21:13

Please do not open your wallets until the devs have made a new one. This is effecting all pools. You can keep mining.

Hopefully we have all the answers for you here.
So today we forked for the second time
We do not know how long it will take the Dogecoin devs to fix so please do not ask!

Another successful server cycle., posted Feb 5, 2014 at 23:23

We have completed our server cycle (and nothing blew up). Thanks for your patience <3

Apologies for the recent disruption with the front end (and also delayed blocks)., posted Jan 29, 2014 at 20:23

Sorry for all the recent confusion. Although it looked like nothing was working the Pool was actually up and working properly except for one big block @873.08%. All the following work was rewarded but there was an issue with showing the new blocks as well.
As an apology for the disruption I will set the fee to 0.0% (ZERO) for the next 24 hours. This is from 20.00CET 29th January 2014 to 20.00CET 30th January 2014.Convert 20.00 Germany time to your local time.

We switched successfully to the latest wallet version. You should also update your wallet.

aprox. 200 accounts closed, posted Jan 22, 2014 at 00:27

i've closed aprox. 200 acocunts today by locking them and resetting their autopayout threshold and payout address.

These accounts had all the same wallet address set and also got an auto payout threshold of 1000 (minimum until now). NO, it was not a hack of suchcoins.com since we have close to 70.000 user accounts in here.

I guess these people had the same login credentials on another pool or any other system and so they got on a list. I dont know when these accounts got changed but i guess it was before the system was changed to send mails before you can change anything.

So, if your account is locked and you DON'T got a mail to unlock it on yourown, you probably should think about changing your user credentials an ALL pages, systems or what ever you use.

automated payout threshold lowered to 500, posted Jan 21, 2014 at 23:55

i reduced the threshold for autopayouts down to 500.

Server down, posted Jan 21, 2014 at 17:15

Hey guys,

we got a died PSU in the very morning arround 4:30 CET. This affected the mainserver and lead to mining did not work anymore.

When i woke up at 8:30 CET i just started to initiate and restore possibilities i was able too.

Arround 9:30 CET the hosting provider announced, that problem got fixed. They replaced the PSU and everything is up again. We did not lost anything - except the the time.

In addition to the recover i just noticed there a lot of dead accounts in here ... thats why i just resetted all notification settings. So if you had any notifications set, please reset them.

another gimmik to blockfinder!, posted Jan 14, 2014 at 22:44

Hey blockfinder,

i really love you and thats why you get now 1% of the block for your own.

Whenever you find a block, you'll get 1% of the block for your own + your regular payment without any fee or donation. <3

Happy Blockfinder!, posted Jan 14, 2014 at 01:05

Dear blockfinder,

i want to thank you for finding this fancy block and that is why i removed the fees and donations of you for this block.

So this means:

Whenever you find a block, you'll get your credits without having to pay any fee or donation.

The next days i will implement a second reward for blockfinders. So this is the very beginning of trying to make suchcoins.com more worthfull to any hashers.

PS: Yes, also the small miners going to find some blocks ... there are actually some blocks on de:3334 so all of you profit on this =)

New and better front end!, posted Jan 13, 2014 at 00:00

Welcome to the new version of the front end. Should be faster and easier for us to maintain!

It will also be more secure. Entering your PIN 3 times will lock your account and send an email to your registered address. If you have problems with unlocking, then please come into the chat or send a message from the Contact form.

Payouts resumed and update later today, posted Jan 12, 2014 at 12:00

There have been some problems with payouts over the past few days. We are investigating the cause and working on a solution. They should be working okay right now, but later today there will be a big update.

This update will take some time so please be patient while we are working on it. Feel free to come into the chat and we will tell you when it's back up.

double paidout, posted Jan 10, 2014 at 19:41

Hey guys, this morning there was a payout issue. After it was reported and investigated, payouts were processed at approximately 14:45.

Unfortunately an error has occurred and double-payouts have been made. The only way to undo these payouts is, to account them to your actual ballance. I just analyzed a lot of transactions now and i hope i got all of the double payouts and hopefully also i don't got any by accident but i've checked everything 3 times.

So, these, who had a high valued payout at 14:45-14:55 may run in a negative ballance for the moment since you already got the payment.

Thank you for your patience on waiting for payout is getting activated again. =)

Splitchain on DOGE, posted Jan 5, 2014 at 19:46

you may have read it ... if not: read here

some guys of YOU just helped me out to bring some information on a new made wiki page: http://wiki.suchcoins.com

i have to say, that the splitchain was caused by not using the most recent version of the doge wallet. Some ppl may just think now "what? do i need to update it?" ... the answer is yes! well, in my case, i DID upgrading the software, but by any reason i didnt completed the task (maybe got interrupted by any question or something in real-life). It wasn't a problem to run the old wallet the last week so i didn't noticed my mistake and we run into this big trouble - as a lot of other pools did too: read here

The result was, that the mining between 1:10 and 9:30 is completly lost. after 9:30 my stratum-nodes went offline, so probably you fall back to another pool, if you have configured one. (You allways should have configured a fallback in cgminer). At 13:00 everything was up and running again and mining could continue without further errors.

So, this fail is really my personal one and i wanted to say sorry! Also when it was my fault, im not able to make any refunds to the time since it was like 17.5M Doge what we mined in that time. That is a amount of Doges i never had and so it would result in a bankrupt of me. According to this "problem" - ignoring the fact, that there is no guarantee for mining on a pool - i gonna lower the fees to 0 (ZERO) for next 24 hours (19:45) beginning from now.

doge.pool.webxass.de becomes suchcoins.com, posted Dec 22, 2013 at 13:37

due to errors of SSL Certs i've decided to order a new dedicated domain to this pool with a new didecated ssl-certificate.

now you should get redirected to https://www.suchcoins.com when ever you call any of your known urls.

it is not necessary to point your miner to suchcoins.com instead of doge.pool.webxass.de ... but you can do so :)

such savety much maintainance wow!

Security Update, posted Dec 21, 2013 at 21:38

now we're going SSL and ive made a lot of other different security fixes.

All data going to the server from your computer are now encrypted.

UPDATE: SSL is optional since it seems not to work for everybody :( ... i need to buy a new SSL-Cert first which is better accepted

Downtime of Frontend and maybe not accurate stats, posted Dec 20, 2013 at 12:01

So ... he we are ... sorry for delayed answers but the questions of users get more and more and it take a lot of time to answer them.

also im putting tons of hours into maintaining the pool ... for the last 24h hours my only brake was to get on the german autobahn and drive to my parents house for visiting them to xmas ... as soon as i arrived i was maintaining the pool again ... sitting between my parents ...

so ... technical

yesterday ive had a really big rush of new users and the frontend was getting overload ... since the frontend is not working many ppl start complain and maybe also leave the pool ... to avoid this in future ive made a lot of things to make servers life (and mine too) easier ...

ive disabled the continoues processing of incomming data for showing them on the frontend. that means mining is working like a charm, but the statistics are not updated that fast. at the moment i process all data, we got since 6 hours ago. its a big bunch of data and i guess it wont be finished until 11:45 CET (germany).

in IRC you mostly be up to date even when im not present there. so maybe come to the irc channel first and if your question is solved and other ppl are asking here, you may want to answer them here as well. that would help the pool so much to keep everybody happy :)

Update: its processed now and everybody got paid

IRC for this pool, posted Dec 18, 2013 at 19:46

some ppl asked for IRC, so ive made a channel on the freenode.net cause it seems like to be the place, where the mining-community stays =)

you can visit me at #webxassDE on http://www.freenode.net

first time fees enabled!, posted Dec 17, 2013 at 08:30

So, due to a lot of messages of YOU, who said, its not a problem, to take any fees - some told me, it is a MUST to take fees! - i decided to rise the fees from 0% to 1%.

In the same moment i put the default donation value to zero. Who had less then 1% donating got set to 0%. Who had more than 1% donating before now got set 1% less.

This is still a small value in comparisment to other pools i guess.

btw: there are > 3000 users registerd ... only 65 got a higher value than 1%.

many thx to all your kind words in the different communication channels ... much love! =)

moving pool to new server, posted Dec 15, 2013 at 08:37

hey, it seems like, while i moved the pool to another server anything bad happend. i had to delete the 3 most recent blocks which were not getting confirmed and prevent from getting at least one new block... for being safety i deleted the 2 more recent blocks, which where orphaned, too .... since thse deletes, the pool did not show any errors. hopefully it is mining now again ... was a bad night ... sorry for that :(

Watch your donations =), posted Dec 12, 2013 at 23:39

I've changed the way, the donation-rate of everybody in here is shown to the other users.

In the pool-statistic you see now, how much somebody is donating. This is shown by the star in front of the users name and by the text you get by hovering your mouse over this star. There are 5 Types of Stars now.

★ ★ ★ >= 10%
★ ★ >= 5%
★ >= 1%
☆ >= 0.01% (between 0.01 and 1% the star gets different opacity)

much stylish =)

btw... i got less than 400k Doges by bringing this pool to you until now. At the same time i really have a lot of work with this pool by adjusting my infrastructure cause of the heavy load due to this pool. much work =(

Failure in Finding Blocks, posted Dec 10, 2013 at 20:33

Server had a problem on the process to calculate the incomes from blocks and stopped than doing it in further time. Thats why it was looking like, we didnt found any blocks since 15:00. I forced the working now and it calculated everything what happened in the past. So every block which we found is rewarded and you all got paid out.

... in other words ... everything much fine ... such profit!

some server optimizations, posted Dec 10, 2013 at 01:18

i was on optimizing the server this evening, what ends in some restarts of the mining-daemon. That was, why for some times your worker may have get disconnected but most miners just reconnect after some seconds. So that should be any big problem i guess.

Btw. we could need a lot of more miners cause of the big pool with lot of fee is catching the most blocks before we can figure them out. :( So if you know some ppl, which have fun on dogecoins, maybe get them to mine here for free =)

Feature Announcement: Im on to add an build-in chatsystem, so that we can communicate much better!

FREE MINING IN HERE, posted Dec 9, 2013 at 19:56

Hey guys, i've disabled the fee on this pool so your completly free mining from now on.

Therefore i changed the donation for everybody to a minimum of 0.1% ... feel free to change your donation-percent or even disable donating.

For those, who gonna donate, there is a ranking online now ... find it under Help => Donors ...
